Enhanced cellular phone quality!
We'd like to share with you a new enhancement made to our system which is designed to provide our customers with Enhanced Cellular Phone Quality. This enhancement is being made available to you free of charge, and is accessible by most SouthernLINC Wireless phones. By programming your phone to access this enhancement, you can improve the voice quality on most of your cellular phone calls. This system enhancement will not have any impact on your dispatch service. You will continue to experience the same level of dispatch call quality and completion that you experience today.
We know your phone calls are important to you, and we want to provide you with the same phone call completion level that you experience today. We will attempt to first process your phone call with Enhanced Cellular Phone Quality. If this is not possible due to increased call volume in your area, your call will be processed at the same level of call quality and completion that you experience today. This phone call quality order will be followed to make every attempt to get your call through.
To enable this feature in your phone(s), please refer to the chart below and follow the steps identified for each model phone you have on your account. Please note that if you have an i85s phone, it is already enabled with Enhanced Cellular Phone Quality. This will be true of all new phones purchased from SouthernLINC Wireless.

If you're currently using an L3000 model phone or another iDEN unit not listed above, you will not be able to access this system enhancement. If you want to experience Enhanced Cellular Phone Quality, please contact Customer Support at 1-800-406-0151 or dial 611 on your phone to inquire about our Equipment Upgrade Program.
To add Enhanced Cellular Phone Quality to your phone free of charge, please follow the six step instructions below:

Press the "Mode" key until "Group" appears on the top line of your screen.

Enter # * # 3 2 1 # * #
|

You will see changes on your screen while entering this sequence, please disregard.

| Step 3:

After you've completed the above sequence, the following will appear on your screen:

"Set Phone Tx
To: I6 Only>"

Press the right arrow key until the following appears on your screen:

|
|
"Set Phone Tx
To: I3 Pref>"
|
|
|
If you are unable to proceed past this point, please contact your local sales representative.

Press the right soft key indicating "OK". The following message will appear on your screen:

I3 Pref"

Press the right soft key again indicating "OK". The screen will now return to:

To return to your original Mode such as "Prvt Ready", "Online Ready" or "Phone Ready", press the "Mode" key until one of these appears on your screen.

Congratulations! You've successfully programmed your phone to access Enhanced Cellular Phone Quality. You will enjoy the highest cellular phone quality experience with SouthernLINC Wireless when phones are set in "I3 Pref" status. If your phone is set to "I3 Only" you will experience increased cellular call blocking or busy signals. If your phone is set to "I6 Only" or "I6 Pref", you will not benefit from this system enhancement. If you have inadvertently programmed your phone, please once again follow the instructions above to set your phone to "I3 Pref" status.
